Organization Chart

The U.P. State Archives is an office which functions under the Department of Culture, Government of Uttar Pradesh. U.P.State Archives is headed by the Director of Archives, who is supported by one Deputy Director, Assistant Director cum Administrative Officer, Assistant Director (Preservation), Regional Archives Officers at Agra, Varanasi, Lucknow and a Manuscript Officer at Allahabad.

For various archival activities there are Technical Assistants, Junior Technical Assistants and Field Assistants, Photo Officer, Junior Photographer and other Technical Staff. The total sanctioned posts of the U.P.State Archives and the Regional Offices and Manuscript Library is 111.
